All net proceeds from the show will go to bring dance, music and art programs to the lives of individuals afflicted with autism.

"Adams Ranch" - Living with Autism
our answer

On November 18-19th, 2006 on the day of the premiere of "El Corazon del Tango" (now "TangoAdamor"), we launched a campaign to raise awareness about autism with emphasis especially on the shortage of appropriate residential facilities for individuals afflicted with autism. Hundreds signed a letter petitioning the government to assist in creating a place in a natural setting where individuals afflicted by autism could live with dignity, the place which we now call Adam's Ranch.

ranchWe envision "Adam's Ranch" as a small village from 8 to 10 families. These families must have a desire to live in a ranch/farm like setting. Every such family will house an individual with autism.

adam with leslieHigh quality education with emphasis on special needs will be an important part of ranch life. The ranch/farm style of life will create a natural stimulating environment for the development of a child with autism where he/she could evolve beyond the current expectations.

Families of individuals with autism will manage the quality of life at the ranch making sure that it fits high standards of both life style and education for all residents.

From Separation into Unity

A natural ranch setting creates a stimulating environment to creatively channel expressive energy of all.

Education of children in the ranch: in addition to being educated in basic disciplines, children in the ranch will be educated on how to take care of their autistic peers. By doing so they will naturally acquire qualities of focus, responsibility and compassion becoming great assets within our society. Dance and Arts programs will go hand in hand with basic education.

Families of individuals with autism will be closely involved with all programs making sure that high quality living and education is preserved. Instead of caring 24/7 for a person with autism without rest, family members of individuals with autism will finally be able to have peace of mind and enjoy being engaged in the programs that will benefit everyone.

Adam's Ranch Campaign Continues

We are planning on-going productions of "TangoAdamor" (aka "El Corazon del Tango") to continue our "Adam's Ranch" campaign. The next production will take place on November 22-23, 2008 in Wilshire Theatre Beverly Hills and Alex Theatre, Los Angeles.
