International Academy of Dance and Arts
Purpose, Project, Vision

Our vision is to establish an International Academy of Dance and Arts centered in Los Angeles, networking with and through key satellite locations around the world.

Based in Los Angeles, the academy will offer a 7-year pre-college education for youngsters ages 11 to 18 [equivalent to conventional junior-high and high-school education].

Core and visiting faculty will consist of internationally respected and recognized artists and professionals within their respective fields, all aligned with the vision and values of Dance Into Unity.

The academy will be organized into major branches of discipline including the schools of: Performing Arts & Drama (dance, music, drama, vocal), Graphic Design (drawing, animation, related computer applications), and Fashion, (fashion & related). These will comprise the main ‘Houses’ of the academy.

The fundamental subjects of English, Mathematics, History, Science and Languages will have their appropriate place and recognition as they are naturally incorporated into the tapestry of the program in a way that enhances the school’s unique focus and purpose.

Each year, all students will participate in one of two productions, a theatre/stage-based production and/or a film production based on their particular skills, interests and goals.

Through both classroom curriculum and year-long engagement in the annual production project, students will be exposed to see and experience the world through the beauty of the arts.  They will learn to focus on their strengths and abilities, and most importantly that which inspires them.

Students – and staff! – will experience first-hand the REALITY of ACTUALIZING their dreams, and the creative power and exhilaration of the collaborative ensemble.

Graduates of the school will be imbued with the message of excellence in who they are and what they do, a uniquely empowering world view, and access to an international network of resources through which they will be able to apply their top level skills and experience to their chosen professions.

  They will have acquired a strong base and rich foundation which will serve as a spring board for their continued personal and professional development ensuring their success in whatever they do, and inextricably linking them to the embitterment of our world.
